The Lusignan Golf Club (LGC) is anticipating a busy and fun-filled weekend, as they prepare to tee off yet another tournament and take part in the Easter festivities.

The vast skies over the LGC will be filled with thousands of colourful and singing kites this weekend, as the Club anticipates record attendance from hundreds of families who will flock the course for the annual fun-filled event.
The action will get started on Saturday, April 20, at 12:30h when the annual Easter Eggstravaganza golf tournament is scheduled to be played. The two-day tournament will roll over to Easter Sunday. The 9-hole golf tournament is being sponsored by Rommel and Robin and is open to anyone who is interested. The tournament will be followed by a barbecue, music and kite-flying which will act as a preview for the grand Easter Monday kite-flying activity at the LGC.
Known for being the largest open space in the East Coast area, the LGC is inviting patrons to go and enjoy a space with no electric wires, room to play other sports such as cricket and football and fishing. The spacious grounds can accommodate over 12,000 people and vehicles are allowed to drive and park (except on the greens).
The grounds are expected to open on Sunday from 13:00h and Monday and Tuesday from 11:00h. A small fee to assist with the cleaning is required for vehicles and walk-in traffic will be charged. Lots of food, music and games will be on hand and security will be provided along with lighting for late into the evening activities.
As per usual, members will have full access to watch the activities and of course partake in the golfing activities all weekend. However, everyone will be invited to play at the LGC regardless of membership status this weekend.
The LGC’s constant string of tournaments will continue in the weeks ahead as Assuria Insurance hosts its Inaugural Open Golf Tournament on Saturday, April 27 from 12:30h, followed by MTV, RRT, Banks DIH, Torginol Paints, MACORP Invitational, El Dorado, Kissoons and the Grand AMCHAM Open on June 15.
