Linden Elite Basketball League: Royals, Jets score opening wins

…Action continues tonight at Amelia’s Ward Court
On an eventful opening night of the Linden Elite Basketball League, which has been sanctioned by the Linden Amateur Basketball Association (LABA) and organised by Kevin Joseph and Kevon Scott, National Basketball Club champions Victory Valley Royals and Amelia’s Ward Jets recorded contrasting victories at the Retrieve Hard Court in Linden.
Royals, the Linden number one seed playing in the second game of the night, made light work as they scored an emphatic 77-57 victory over home team Retrieve Raiders, while Jets had to survive an upset with a crowd-pleasing 57-55 win.
The tournament continues tonight, Friday, August 14, at the Amelia’s Ward Jard Court with another doubleheader feature, as the Jets will be at home against the Retrieve Raiders at 19:00h. Then, Block 22 Flames will clash with Vikings at 20:30h.
Tomorrow night, Saturday, August 15, the Jets will match skills with the Royals in the first game, and in the second game, the Vikings will take on the Raiders.
Another double header is set for Sunday, where game one features Flames versus Royals, and Jets clash with Vikings.
