Linden man slapped with break and enter and larceny charge

Twenty-year-old Deron Austin was on Wednesday remanded to prison when he made his second court appearance before Magistrate Alisha George at the Linden Magistrate’s Court, on a charge of break and entry and larceny.
Austin is accused of breaking and entering the dwelling of Fitzpatrick Ronaldo Semple, situated at Blueberry Hill, Wismar, Linden between September 16 and September 29, 2018 and stealing a number of items. These included a television set valued $245,000, a stabiliser valued $25,000 and a belt worth $7000. The items are valued a total of $277,000 and are the property of Semple.
When the case was called, the prosecution informed the court that the file was sent to the Police’s legal adviser for advice. The case was adjourned until December 19, 2018.
