Linden man slapped with robbery charge

Devon Campbell of Lot 245 Block 22, Wismar, Linden was on Wednesday remanded to prison when he appeared before Magistrate Alisha George at the Linden Magistrate’s Court charged with the offence of robbery under arms.
It is alleged that Campbell on October 11, at Half mile, Wismar, Linden, being armed with a gun, robbed Lionel Nedd of one Toshiba tablet valued $17,000, a Samsung charger worth $1,500, a Samsung headphone valued $2,500 and a silver finger ring worth $7,000. The items amount to a total value of $28,000 and are the property of Nedd.
Campbell, who is a mason, denied the charge.
According to the Prosecution the investigation into the matter has been completed. The case will call again on January 16, 2019 for statements. Campbell was remanded to prison.
Campbell, also called “Ratty” has was previously convicted of numerous offences including break and entering and larceny, damage to property and malicious wounding.
