Linden woman jailed for assaulting husband

A Linden, Region 10 woman was on Tuesday sentenced to three months’ imprisonment after she was found guilty of assaulting her husband.
Dulio LeeBing of Lot 110 Victory Valley, Wismar, Linden was charged for unlawfully assaulting Burt LeeBing, her husband. The mother of one appeared before Magistrate Dylon Bess at the Linden Magistrate’s Court.
The court heard that on February 9 at about 23:50h, the Virtual Complainant (VC) was standing at Republic Avenue, Mackenzie, Linden when his wife saw him and began to verbally abuse him by using expletives. She then proceeded to hit him in the head with a beer bottle, which resulted in him receiving severe head injuries. A report was made to the Police by the VC following the incident. The man had indicated that his wife was in the habit of assaulting him. She will spend the next three months behind bars.
