Universally regarded as cricket’s greatest all‑rounder, Sobers was also a passionate golfer whose connection to Lusignan remains a proud chapter in the club’s history.
In 1979, he captured the Neal & Massy WSC Four‑Ball Golf Tournament at Lusignan Golf Course, a victory that demonstrated his remarkable versatility and love for sport beyond the cricket field.
