Magnum Mash Cup kicks off tonight at National Gymnasium

After being launched over a week ago, the highly anticipated Magnum Mash Cup enters its second edition of the tournament with the first match scheduled to kick off tonight at the National Gymnasium from 19:00h.
Of the many teams participating in the competition, the teams to watch out for primarily are Sparta Boss and Leopold Street, who are no strangers to futsal.

The competition is scheduled to be played over nine days and promises lots of action, as some of Guyana’s top futsal teams have confirmed their participation which features prize money in excess of $1.2 million and trophies.
The winning team will receive $600,000 and a trophy, runner-up $300,000 and a trophy, third place $200,000 and a trophy, and fourth place $100,000.
The other fixture dates are as follows – February 5, 9, 13, 16, 19, 21, 24 and March 3 designated for the finals. Some of the entities on board are the National Sports Commission, Trophy Stall, Insurance Brokers and Nigel Hinds.
Tomorrows fixtures will see North East La Penitence taking on Good-Life in the first match-up while Alexander Village will feature in the second match Buxton Diamond. Swag Entertainment will attempt to see off Gaza Squad as Broad Street will try to silence Quiet Storm. Showstoppers will face the inform Ol Skool Ballers while Leopold Street will try to make light work of ANSA McAL. Agricola will then take on Albouystown as Back Circle will be preparing for their match against BV-B. The final two matches for the night will see young blood Future Stars taking on Kitty Hustlers and the legendary Sparta Boss culminating the night against Mocha.
