Man charged for hurling expletives at sister

Stephan Pollard, of Agricola, Greater Georgetown, was on Friday released on $30,000 bail by Magistrate Leron Daly when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts charged for verbally abusing his sister, Onika Pollard.
Pollard pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The court heard that on July 7, 2018, he used abusive language towards his sibling, with whom he shares living quarters.
In addition, he was slapped with a malicious damage of property charge, since he was accused of damaging his sister’s electric fan and other items.
To this charge, he also pleaded not guilty and told the court that it was his sister’s children who damaged the items.
The Police Prosecutor made no objections to bail; hence, the defendant was released on $20,000 bail for the damage of property charge and $10,000 for the abusive language charge.
The siblings were also placed on a bond to keep the peace pending the outcome of the matter. Pollard is expected to make his next court appearance on August 6, 2018.
