Vinjindra Kayman was on Thursday fined $15,000 for narcotics possession after he admitted to the Wales magistrate that Police, on Wednesday, found him with 2 grams of cannabis at Bell West, Canal Number Two, West Bank Demerara (WBD).
The 43-year-old was also charged with having a pipe that is used to smoke the prohibited substance. He pleaded not guilty to this offence by simply saying that he did have the pipe to smoke marijuana. Kayman’s fine carries an alternative of one month’s jail.
