Man wanted for body found stuffed in barrel at Le Repentir arrested

The alleged prime suspect wanted in the connection with the murder of Levi Williams, whose body was discovered in a barrel at the Le Repentir Cemetery in December 2025 has been arrested on Saturday. Kevin Lawson also called “Baby” was reportedly arrested during a police operation at Bougainvillea Park, Farm, East Bank Demerara (EBD) on Saturday evening. With the arrest of Lawson, one other person remains at large for the murder of the 39-year-old victim. Lawson is being interrogated and is expected to make his court appearance shortly. Randy Mars, also known as “Ratty,” of Kuru Kururu, Soesdyke/Linden Highway; Aaron Khan, also known as “Tattoo Man,” of Charlotte Street and Jamal David, also known as “Hundred,” of West Ruimveldt were all charged with the murder of Williams.

Williams’ body was found in an advanced state of decomposition inside a barrel between Louisa Row and St Stephen Street in the Le Repentir Cemetery on Christmas Day, 2025. Police stated that Williams was allegedly killed sometime between the early hours of December 23 and the night of December 25, 2025, at a location on Charlotte Street, Georgetown. Police said Williams was accused by a group of men of stealing a firearm. It was reported that Williams was confronted at a drug block in the Charlotte Street area, where he was severely beaten with wire. Due to the beating, Williams became unconscious and was reportedly placed into a blue plastic bag. A Post-Mortem Examination (PME) later revealed that he died from multiple injuries.
