Massy Industries spreads Christmas cheer in Berbice

Children in New Amsterdam were treated to caroling and gifts as Massy Industries Berbice held its second annual Christmas gift donation and carolling exercise.
Massy collaborated with several organisations to host the concert outside of the company’s Water and King Streets office in New Amsterdam.

Berbice Branch Manager, Mark Roopnarine, speaking with this publication about the event, stated that this is the second year the company has hosted the activity: “This is the season of giving so we at Massy want to be in that spirit of giving, so we have invited the children; we have gifts for them and of course the season is all about carolling.”
Roopnarine said too that the event in Berbice was similar to the one the Company’s head-office hosted in Georgetown, where a huge children party was held.
In order for all the children who were invited to be able to attend, the company arranged two parties in Georgetown.
Roopnarine explained that it is a way of giving back to the community, and also brightening the lives of children at this time of the year.
