Saleem Beharry, more popularly referred to as “Master Saleem” is no stranger to Guyana and would have gathered a strong fan base from his numerous performance in Guyana; a country he refers to as his second home.
The versatile artiste who has had a successful carnival season is all set to take the US and Canada by storm in the coming weeks.
Beharry, who is presently adding the final touches to a few tunes to be release soon, said he is ready to take control.
His 2018 chutney tune “Shameless” has been quite unique, taking over the Trinidadian air ways during the Carnival celebrations. In that song, he collaborated with former Chutney Monarch, Ravi B.
The song was written by Beharry and speaks about his struggles of maintaining his romance for his significant other whilst battling his love for a good “Trini lime”.
“Who else but a Trini knows how to party and we are so blessed to live in this cosmopolitan multiethnic and multicultural island where despite our disagreements on a number of issues, we still can come together for a good Trini lime and that’s what Carnival is about. It is about unity, about letting go of frustration and being free,” Master Saleem explained.
On the other hand, the artistes during the carnival season felt that there were too many negativities but he remained positive about everything that was happening. With the upcoming tour, he is optimistic that he will entertain his fans to the max.
