Matches abandoned due to rain

BCB 50-Over tournament…

All four weekend matches in the Berbice Cricket Board’s (BCB’s) 50-Over tournament were abandoned due to persistent rainfall in the Ancient County.
The scheduled matches: Albion Cricket Club doing battle with the Young Warriors Cricket Club at the Albion Community Centre; Port Mourant Cricket Club being hosted by the Blairmont Cricket Club at the Blairmont Community Centre; West Berbice Cricket Association competing against Bush Lot at the Bush Lot Community Centre; Tucber Park engaging Police Cricket Club at the Port Mourant Community Centre; and Rose Hall Estate Cricket Club coming up against hosts Rose Hall Town Youth and Sports Club at the Area H Ground in Rose Hall Town, will be rescheduled for a date to be announced by the BCB’s Competition Committee.
The competition is being contested by 12 first division teams in the county. Teams are mandated to play on a round-robin basis in their respective zones to qualify for the next round of competition. Two teams from each of the two zones will qualify for the quarter-final stage.
