The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) received high praise on Monday afternoon after the conclusion of its Ordinary Congress.
The commendation came from the Senior Manager of the CONCACAF and Caribbean Project, Howard McIntosh. McIntosh, who is no stranger to these shores, has been in Guyana for the bustling week of football activities.
McIntosh stated that everything went “exceptionally well”, referring to the Ordinary Congress and his trip to the National Training Centre, which is under construction and which he has been a part of since its inception.

“I was able to watch the women’s qualifiers last night (, I know it was a little disappointing for Guyana, but it was good from the standpoint of organisation of the tournament and all the reports I’ve received have been good so far,” he added.
Overall, McIntosh indicated that he was very pleased with the work that the GFF has carried out, stating, “The fact that the financial statements were presented, new initiatives were carried out, the activity report shows meaning and progress says that Guyana’s football is on the right track.”
As such, he pledged the assistance of his organisation to any ventures that the GFF may want to pursue in the future. “CONCACAF through its One CONCACAF programme and through its President, Victor Montagliani, and the General Secretary will continue to support the initiatives being pursued by the GFF,” he said.
