Miss World Guyana wings out to compete in Int’l pageant
With the 68th edition of the Miss World pageant scheduled to take place in Sanya, China, on December 8, Guyana’s representative, 19-year-old Ambika Ramraj winged out to compete in the international pageant.
The Guyanese beauty queen left Guyana earlier in the week. Family members and friends turned up at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport to bid farewell and wish the queen good luck. The reigning queen left with high hopes of returning to Guyana with the coveted crown.
While in China, she will make several appearances and more importantly, she will compete with more than 100 delegates from around the world for the title. She will also be working on her presentation “Beauty with a Purpose”, titled “Healthy Wholly” which focuses on using sport and fitness to reduce mental illness.
