Emerging table tennis talent Malachi Moore is brimming with confidence ahead of this weekend’s 60th Independence Table Tennis Tournament, with the young standout eager to test himself after recent international exposure.
Fresh off competing in Panama, Moore believes his game has reached new heights and is keen to translate that growth into a strong showing on home soil.
“I’m kinda [excited] to see how the tournament will go based off the preparations I have had, and because I recently came back from Panama, where the competition was at a high level, my level is where it has never been,” Moore noted.
The Rising Stars player explained that the hard work in training, coupled with the experience gained overseas, has left him feeling optimistic about challenging for top honours.
“Recently I have been putting in the work, and I am looking forward to playing my best and finishing on the podium in every category that I play,” Moore shared.
The annual tournament will conclude on Sunday at the National Gymnasium with the junior divisions taking centre stage this weekend while senior competitors will begin their campaign next week.
