Mother of 2 fearful for her life after reputed husband threatens to kill her
A mother of two is desperately crying out for help after she suffered the worst physical abuse at the hands of her reputed husband.

The woman, Sabrina Gopaul, is now fearful for her life and her two sons after her abusive reputed husband threatened to kill them.
She identified her abuser as Eshwar Sookdeo, also known as “Vekash” or “Bucko”.
The young mother, in an exclusive interview with Guyana Times , stated that she has been constantly abused by the man with whom she has spent more than seven years. As a result of the abuse, she was forced to leave the house and is now staying with her parents.
“Normally, he would drink and he always a come home and create problem. He always threatening me and would pull knife on me. It used to happen every two weeks and I cannot take it anymore”.
The woman stated that the last fight she had with him was two weeks ago.
“He was drunk and came home like 2 o’clock the morning and I was sleeping. He starts curse and pull out the net so we can’t sleep and then he poke me in the eyes. He starts choking me and bite me in the temple. He lock the house and didn’t want me to go outside to tell anyone”.
Gopaul was severely beaten by her husband a week ago
After the woman made a report, he was arrested and charged for assaulting her. The Court had imposed a restraining order against him.
“He signed one 18-month bond but yet and he come and threaten me. The Police ain’t doing anything…when I go to the station them say them can’t find him. They are not making an attempt to get him,” she stated.
Gopaul further added that she ended the relationship because she is afraid her sons might become abusers.
“I have two sons and whatever I went through, I would not want them to do that to their wives, so I ended the relationship”.
Efforts to contact the Police on the matter proved futile.
