Motor lorry vandalised by angry man

The vehicle belonging to a 29-year-old Berbice businessman was on Wednesday evening vandalised after the perpetrator reportedly threw a brick at its windscreen.
Police stated that the incident occurred about 18:30h in the vicinity of Fort Ordinance Housing Scheme, East Canje, Berbice. At the time of the incident, the driver of the motor lorry, a 34-year-old man, was heading home.
The driver reportedly told Police that as he approached the junction at Hibiscus Drive, he saw one white Toyota Premio approaching. As a result, he stopped and asked the driver of the car to reverse to give him access to the narrow street.
This reportedly angered the driver of the motor car and as such, he started to verbally abuse the lorry driver and threatened to “chop” him.
He then exited his car, armed himself with a piece of mud, and threw it at the truck. The truck driver reportedly ignored him, but the suspect then picked up a brick and threw it at the truck’s windscreen, causing it to crack.
The man then re-entered his car and drove away. The matter was reported and an investigation was launched.
