The New Amsterdam Technical Institute (NATI) continued their dominant performance in the ongoing Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) Mogu Mogu sponsored Inter-School cricket tournament when they defeated their opponents by 32 runs.
NATI, led by Garfield Benjamin, took on Berbice Educational Institute (BEI) at Young Warriors Cricket Club, Cumberland, Canje.

Opting to bat first on a fast outfield, NATI managed 136-8 in their allotted 30 overs. Leading from the front was the in-form Garfield Benjamin ,who played a responsible innings of 37 and got support from the former national Under-15 player Stephen Kamaludin, who scored 29. Berbice Under-19 all-rounder Keith Simpson chipped in with 21.
BEI bowlers were disciplined with former Guyana Under-15 off-spinner Ricardo Ramdeholl picking 2-19 in 6 overs and B Dhani taking 2-13 in 4 overs.
In reply, BEI top order batsmen looked confident with former national Under-15 players Ricardo Ramdeholl and Daniel Dharamdatt taking it to the NATI bowlers. Ramdeholl top scored with a solid 45 and Dharamdatt compiled an attractive 33. The NATI team, which consists of three left arm spinners, two leg spinners, and two fast bowlers were able to pick up wickets at regular intervals to halt the BEI batsmen’s scoring rate. Left-arm spinner Simpson picked up 3-18 in 4.3 overs, left-arm quickie Stephen Kamaludin claimed 2-17 in 6 overs while Benjamin had 2-23 in his 6 overs.
