With effect from May 1, the state-run National Communications Network (NCN) will be led by new leadership in the form of communications consultant Lennox Cornette.
This announcement was made by Chairman of the Board Bishwa Panday in a statement on Friday. According to Panday, in efforts to revitalise the NCN, the board of directors completed the first round of recruitment to identify a new management team to take the company forward.
“After a successful round of interviews Mr Lennox Cornette emerged the best candidate for the CEO’s position based on his diverse communication, financial and executive management background,” Bishwa said in the statement.
Cornette, who is a communications consultant, holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Australian Institute of Business, a Bachelor in Social Sciences, majored in Mass Communications, a Diploma in Public Communication, and Certificates in Planning and Promotion from Bailbrook College, England.
After the change of government following the May 2015 General and Regional Elections, there were major shake-ups within state agencies including the media entities.
