New Campbellville, East Ruimveldt are female finalists

New Campbellville Secondary will face East Ruimveldt in the final of the female leg of the 2019 ExxonMobil Schools Under-14 Football tournament.
During Saturday’s semi-finals, New Campbellville relied on their skills to defeat Charlestown 3–2.
During the first half of play, the eventual victor led the action for most of the match, scoring goals compliments of Breanna Solomon in the 17th and 25th minutes.
However, Shania East gave Charlestown new life when she scored in the 39th minute, but Shoiana Adams scored in the 45th to quickly restore the two-goal advantage. Five minutes later, East narrowed the margin to one goal, but the equalizer remained elusive, thus New Campbellville become a finalist.
In the other game, it was easy sailing for East Ruimveldt, who breezed by Tucville 2-0. Keasha Jones, in the 15th, and Shaqwana Wright (46th) were the scorers in the match.
In the quarterfinals of the male tournament, Dolphin Secondary, Carmel Secondary and Cummings Lodge Secondary steamrolled their way into the semi-final round with respective wins over St John’s Bosco Orphanage, Lodge Secondary and New Campbellville.
Meanwhile, a hard-fought battle between Queenstown and Marian Academy, which ended at 3-3 in regulation time, saw Queenstown advance after a 3–2 penalty shootout win.
