Not surprised about GuySuCo’s financial status

Dear Editor,
I cannot say I am surprised to learn that the GuySuCo is out of finance, and could soon face closure unless something is done to address the lingering matter. My own interactions with GuySuCo personnel had revealed to me the seriousness that faced the Corporation.
I have asked my friends who are in the hierarchy of GuySuCo what is being done to address this matter. My question drew a blank. I asked specifically if the CEO is engaging the Minister and other governmental officials on the matter, recognising the seriousness of the situation. To my surprise and utter dismay, I learnt that the CEO is not even in Guyana, but has rather been in the United States for several weeks now.
Even if it is that the CEO is making representation, he is obviously handicapped, given his absence from Guyana. It does not show the CEO in a good light, and I am sure that thousands would like to hear from him.
