The highly anticipated Orlando Cup 3 was scheduled to be hosted in March,2020 in Florida. However, with the current COVID-19 pandemic, all sports have been halted until further notice. It is also the hope of the Orlando Softball Cricket League (OSCL) that the tournament can be hosted in the fall of 2020 (21 September – 21 December).

The Orlando Cup three was hosted in March 2018, emerging as winners were Regal All-Stars in the Open category, while Floodlights stormed to victory in the Master’s category.

In a release by the OSCL, it was said that, “The OSCL wishes to advise all participants and guests that in v

iew of the current coronavirus spread prevailing in the United States, we, in the interest of maintaining a safe and healthy environment, have decided to move the tournament to fall 2020.

“While this decision is a disappointment to many, we have to follow the directive and advice of those wh

o are tasked with maintaining the welfare and good health of the citizenry of the USA. The OSCL will be in touch with all teams, and based on consultations with the relevant authorities, will make the pertinent decision as to the fixtures for the said tournament.

“It is our fervent hope and prayer that the present virus will not affect any of our members and their families, and this epidemic will soon become a distant memory.”

The teams consist of the Masters Category (Over 45), All-Stars category and Legends Category (Over 50), thus far, a total of 24 have registered. In 2018 Safraz Esau struck a robust 53 off 23 balls to guide Regal All Stars to a seven-wicket win over Assassins in the Open final in front of a large crowd.
