The Police unearthed 1140 grams of ganja in an empty lot at Britton Street, Plaisance, East Coast Demerara (ECD), on Tuesday.
The cannabis that was found in the empty lot
Based on information received, a party of policemen from Regional Division 4 C conducted an operation at the location during which the cannabis was found.
As such, the ganja was retrieved and taken to the Sparendaam Police Station where 439 Ziploc bags were counted. The drug was weighed and amounted to 1140 grams. No arrests were made as Police continue their investigations.
