Overwhelming turn out for Kendalls Union SC’s Christmas party

The recently resuscitated Kendalls Union Sports Club held their first Christmas Party for children within the Don Robin to Number 19 Village area that attracted 112 children. The delighted children, mostly under 12 years old, were treated to a mini concert that was jointly put on by the Number 19 Bible Church and Hephiziah of Rose Hall town. Additionally, Santa Claus distributed toys to the children who were all given a complete meal of food and drink that made the occasion more memorable.

Speaking on the club’s behalf, President Albert Budhoo thanked those who have contributed to make the event a success and he also reminded the children of the reason for the season with a story.
The event is on the Kendalls Union Sports Club calendar of events and Budhoo said based on the success they will do it again in 2018.
The club which is more known for their exploits in cricket in the east Berbice zone, has been diversifying giving members the opportunity of other sporting disciplines.
