The winning Paradise FC team

Paradise recorded a convincing win over Hopetown on Sunday.
The game seemed to be an even match-up most of the time, but the scoreline told a different story – 4-nil in favour of Paradise.
The goal scorers were Olvis Mitchell in the 12th minute, Jawell Fraser in the 23rd minute, Carluis Paul in the 48th and 55th minutes.
Meanwhile, in the first scheduled game on Sunday, Mahaica Determinators failed to make an appearance giving Rosignol United a free pass into the semi-finals.
The competition continues on Friday with a double header: Cougars Under-20 will take on Number 5 and Georgetown Police will do battle with Hopetown A.
On Sunday, Monedderlust will be in action when they face Soccer City in what is expected to be a scorching encounter.
Game two will bring together Golden Star and Rosignol United, both battling for a semi-final berth.
This is the second year for the tournament.
The final is set for January 5, 2019. At stake in the competition is $600,000 for the winner and $300,000 for the runner-up team. The third-place team will receive $200,000.
Additionally, $50,000 each will go to the MVP, best goalkeeper and the person scoring the most goals. (Andrew Carmichael)
