Pensioner critical after being stabbed by lover

A taxi driver was admitted a patient in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the New Amsterdam Hospital after he was reportedly stabbed during an argument with his lover. Injured is 67-year-old Collin Heiliger of Pilot Street, New Amsterdam, Berbice.
According to the Police, the incident took place on Monday evening at the suspect’s King Street, New Amsterdam house.
Police investigations revealed that the now injured man and the suspect shared an intimate relationship and on the night in question, they were engaged in a heated argument.
After the argument, Heiliger reportedly walked over to a neighbour’s house with a wound to his abdomen. He was quickly rushed to the New Amsterdam Hospital where he was examined, treated and admitted in the ICU. His condition is regarded as serious but stable. The matter was reported and the suspect was arrested.
