PI stalls after accused test positive for COVID-19

Deon Stoll’s murder

The Preliminary Inquiry (PI) into the murder of Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) businessman Deon Stoll has stalled after the two accused in the matter tested positive for COVID-19 while in prison.
Those slapped with murder charges were Shane “Demon” Morgan, 33, also known as Delon Morgan; Roberto Sankar, 28; Wayne St Hill, 38, and Steve Rollox, 38.
Reports are that two of the accused were among the 120 prisoners at the Lusignan Prison who tested positive for the deadly virus last month.
Meanwhile, Odessa “Baby” St Hill, Dr Alonzo Dos Santos, Duncan “Blackboy” Vanvield, and Keith McKenzie were all charged for being accessories after the fact.
The 44-year-old businessman succumbed to his injuries at the Georgetown Public Hospital shortly after being shot.
Reports are that the businessman had arrived at El Dorado Trading, Kitty, Georgetown about 10:20h on October 14, 2019, and as he was about to exit the car, two gunmen, who arrived in a white car, opened fire on him and his driver, Clayton Powley.
A review of Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) footage showed that Stoll was sitting in the front passenger seat of motor car PPP 6727. A white Toyota motor car with tinted windows, which had appeared to be trailing Stoll’s vehicle, stopped across the road from the business place seconds after it did.
Stoll had earlier visited a Sheriff Street business place, where he had collected an undisclosed sum of cash. (G1)
