Plaisance man shot during row over money

A 32-year-old resident of Plaisance, East Coast Demerara (ECD), was on Saturday shot during an argument with another man over money. Based on reports received, at about 16:45h on the day in question, the victim was on Victoria and Britton Road, Plaisance, ECD, when the argument broke out.
The suspect, who is a known individual, reportedly left the scene on a motorcycle and returned shortly after armed with a handgun.
As such, he discharged two rounds in the victim’s direction, hitting him in his left side and right leg, after which he made good his escape.
The injured man was taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was treated and admitted a patient. His condition is regarded as stable.
The matter was reported to the Police, who initiated a probe into the shooting incident.
