Police on Friday morning conducted a drug eradication operation in East Canje, East Berbice, where cannabis plants found on a one-acre plot of ground were destroyed.
According to the Police, the field consisted of about fifteen hundred plants ranging in height from three feet to five feet.
A camp was also discovered close to the field, and following a search, 45 live cartridges, two live 9mm rounds and a dismantled shotgun were found.
The owner of the land upon which the crop and camp were found is now being pursued by Police as they continue their investigations.
