Police destroys ganja farms

…over 100 kg cannabis found in 2 camps

Over four acres of cultivated cannabis plants were destroyed by ranks of the Guyana Police Force (GPF) in Berbice.

The fields were discovered by the ranks in DeVeldt and Tabali, Berbice during a drug eradication operation being carried out in the Ancient County.
The plants ranged in heights from one foot to five feet. All have been destroyed by fire along with two camps and in excess of 100 kilograms of dried cannabis.
However, no arrest has been made as ranks launch an investigation to track the owners of the lands.
