Police, acting on information, discovered several airguns, airsoft pistols, handcuffs, and a Police vest during an operation on Friday at Garden of Eden along the East Bank of Demerara (EBD). Based on reports received, several Police Officers travelled to the location, where a search was conducted on a garbage heap on the parapet close to a trench. During the search, there was one green duffle bag containing one vintage Marksman Repeater 177 calibre BB gun and one BSA 240 Magnum.
A 22 air pistol, one G3 Nightingale airsoft pistol with a magazine, one Brass Eagle Samurai paintball marker gun with a tank, one bottom half of an airsoft pistol frame with a magazine, two pairs of handcuffs, and one bulletproof vest were discovered. The items were escorted to the Grove Police Station pending investigation. At the time of the operation, no arrests were made.
