A Police Inspector attached to Regional Police Division Four A has been charged with the unlawful transfer of ammunition following an intelligence-led operation conducted at the Linden Bus Park in Georgetown.
Inspector Abasola Flatts appeared before Magistrate Fabio Azore at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court, where the charge was formally read to him.
The charge stems from an operation carried out on May 7, the Guyana Police Force said.
Flatts pleaded not guilty to the allegation and was granted $150,000 bail.
The matter was adjourned to June 24.
