The Commissioner of Police T20 Cup is set to bowl off on Wednesday, August 26, with six first-round matches scheduled as Police teams and regional combinations battle for places in the next stage.
The opening round will commence at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary, where the Divisions One, Seven, Eight, and Nine combined team will face the Guyana Police Force (GPF) Academy from 08:30h.
That match will be followed by a clash between Region Two and Region Six at 11:00h, while Headquarters will take on Region Three from 13:00h.
The first round continues on Thursday, August 27, with Region Five coming up against Officers at 08:30h. At 13:00h, 4A and 4B will combine to oppose the Tactical Services Unit.
The final first-round fixture is scheduled for Monday, August 31, when Region 10 will face Region 4C from 08:30h. The Presidential Guard has received a bye into the second round.
The competition then moves into the second round, where the Presidential Guard will meet the winner of Game Three. The winner of Game Four will oppose the winner of Game Five, while the winner of Game Two will face the winner of Game Six. The winner of Game One also receives a bye into the third round.
In the third round, the winner of Game Seven will meet the winner of Game One, while the winners of Games Eight and Nine will battle for the remaining final-round berth.
The matches will be played at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary, as well as venues in Regions Two and Six.
