Woman Police rank Rashawna Hadfield of Lot 90 East Ruimveldt Housing Scheme, Georgetown appeared before Georgetown Magistrate Fabayo Azore charged with committing fraud.
The charge she faces alleges that on March 27, 2017 at Croal Street, with intent to defraud, she unlawfully obtained $30,000 from Anita Grant, claiming to be in a position to obtain a driver’s licence for Grant.
The 27-year-old mother of one denied the charge, and the Police prosecutor had no objection to bail being granted to the cop. Hadfield, in application, told the court that she would not be able to post bail, since she was unable to uplift her salary.
As such, Magistrate Azore released her on her own recognisance, and the case will continue on January 10.
