The event which is scheduled to commence at 13:00 today, was shifted from Rising Sun Turf Club because of the sogginess of the track due to persistent rain.

Five races are carded for today with the feature event being the ‘E’ and lower class race with a top prize of $500,000 and a trophy.

A race for `J’ class animals is also on the card with $160,000 going to the winner while horses classified `K’ will battle for the first prize worth $140,000 and the `L’ class race has a top prize of $120,000.

Meanwhile, Guyana-bred two-year-old horses will be eying the $100,000 top prize in that race.

Trophy Stall of Bourda Market and beverage giant Banks DIH Limited are the major sponsors for the event.

Trophy Stall has contributed trophies for the top jockey as well as trophies for the best trainer and best stable while Banks DIH, on the other hand, has contributed cash prizes for one of the feature events.

Over $2M will be up for grabs at Bustlot today in what promises to be an exciting day of horse racing for all especially turfites, horses and jockeys.
