School is out, and the Guyana Tennis Association is providing children with the opportunity to get acquainted with tennis, as the 13th P&P Insurance Brokers Junior Tennis Camp commences today.
Children between the ages of 6 and 11 will be trained at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall from 9:00am, while those between the ages of 12 and 18 will be trained at the National Racquet Centre at Camp and Woolford Avenue from noon.
The camp is the most significant annual junior development event after the end of the school year, and it usually attracts at least 50 participants, who are taught the rudimentary principles of playing tennis in a fun and creative environment. The camp provides a potent avenue for the introduction of many new players to clubs for further training.
