Ram to lead Guyana at CWI Under-19 Tournament in Antigua

Parmeshwar Ram has been appointed captain of Guyana’s Under-19 cricket team for the upcoming Cricket West Indies (CWI) Regional Under-19 Tournament, which is scheduled to be played in Antigua from July 7 to 23.
The announcement was made by the Guyana Cricket Board (GCB), which also named Romario Ramdeholl as Vice Captain of the 23-member squad selected for the regional competition.
The squad comprises Justin Dowlin, Jonathan Mentore, Shamar Apple, Joshua Budram, Darwin Joseph, Dhanesh Persaud, Micah Amsterdam, Parmeshwar Ram, Romario Ramdeholl, Adrian Hetmyer, Razam Koober, Yannick Newton, Gilbert Griffith, Feaz Baksh, Richard Ramdeholl, Dave Mohabir, Thierry Henry, Khush Seegobin, Gibran Yacoob, Emmanuel Lewis, Jayhayden Rohler, Darrius Pearson, and Shazim Mohamed.

Guyana will be guided by Head Coach Kumar Bishundial, Assistant Coach Antony Adams, and Manager Nazeer Mohamed, who will oversee the team’s preparations and campaign during the regional tournament.
The competition will bring together the region’s most promising young cricketers as they compete for regional honours and an opportunity to further their development within the West Indies cricket pathway.
In announcing the squad, the GCB congratulated the selected players and expressed confidence in the team’s ability to perform strongly against the best Under-19 talent from across the Caribbean.
Guyana will be aiming to make a significant impact when the tournament bowls off in Antigua in July.
