Guyana’s Joel Rambiriche and Anjaneysa Godette secured places in the Under-13 singles semi-finals following impressive victories at the 2026 CAREBACO Junior Championships.
By reaching the medal round, both players are guaranteed at least bronze medals for Guyana.
Rambiriche defeated his Jamaican opponent 21-16, 21-17 in the boys’ singles quarter-finals. Godette produced an even more dominant performance in the girls’ division, sweeping past her Trinidad and Tobago opponent 21-4, 21-10.

Guyana also enjoyed success in the Under-19 boys’ singles, where Christopher Jordan defeated a Jamaican player 21-11, 21-7 to qualify for the quarter-finals.
Jordan will have another opportunity to progress when he partners Ruel Rambiriche against Trinidad and Tobago in the Under-19 boys’ doubles quarter-finals.
Percival Chester and Chioke Nurse will face Barbados in another Under-19 boys’ doubles quarter-final, while Joel Rambiriche and Godette will team up against Jamaica in the Under-13 mixed doubles quarter-finals. Victory for the pair would secure another medal for Guyana.
Meanwhile, Ruel Rambiriche, Nurse, Nikolas Pollard and Chester were eliminated from the Under-17 and Under-19 boys’ singles competitions. They suffered defeats against opponents from Jamaica, Guadeloupe, Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago, respectively.
