Ramps Logistics gives timely boost to Persaud

Talented go-karter Mikhail Persaud received an added incentive to bring the fireworks when GT Motorsports stages the second Georgetown Grand Prix for 2018 on Sunday.
It comes in the form of a sponsorship package with Ramps Logistics, which, among other sponsors, has pledged to offset the young driver’s expenses for the remainder of the 2018 go-kart season.

The 15-year-old, who attends Marian Academy, was the 2017 junior champion and currently leads the seniors for 2018. He is still eligible to compete in the juniors.
The event will have a shift in time moving from under floodlights to a 14:00h start time. Drivers from Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago would face off in the various categories, with the Shifter Pro Cup being the feature event.
Intense rivalry is also guaranteed in the highly competitive Sun Burst Kids Cup 60cc, which will once again feature the likes of Jeremy and Justin Tenpow, Nathan Rahaman, Ben Phang and Paige Mendonca.
Heated battles can be expected in the 125cc junior and senior divisions, as well as the Easy Cup Rookie, Heavy and Light.
Additionally, the drivers with the top 10 fastest lap times in the rental karts as of Friday will take to the starting line on Sunday. The 10 drivers will automatically qualify to compete among the professionals, in GT Motorsports Praga karts.
General admission to the venue is free, while the VIP experience costs $6000 per person.
