Ramsammy’s 5-for powers Tucber Park to victory

The Tucber Park Under-17 team defeated Kendall’s Union by seven wickets at the Kendall’s Union Ground, Number 19 Village, Corentyne, Berbice.
Under sunny conditions on Friday, December 28, the Zeynul Ramsammy-led team won the toss and opted to bowl first. Kendall’s Union batsmen encountered difficulties coping with Tucber Park’s impressive bowling. The weary Kendall’s Under-17 team were eventually bowled out for 87 as extras contributed to the total.

Zeynul Ramsammy, former Guyana Under-15 Captain, grabbed 5-13 with his unplayable leg-spin while Raheem La Fleur picked up 3-17. Civion Arokium was also in the wickets column with 1-8.
In just 12 overs, the first innings had been completed and the match was expected to finish early. Then entered the Tucber Park opener, former Guyana Under-15 wicketkeeper-batsman, Tomani Caesar who made light work of the relatively small total. Tucber Park finished on 90-3, with Devon Sobahi top-scoring with a responsible 20, along with Abdul Ramsammy, who hit an even 20. Caesar hit a quick-fire 15 while Jusitin Meghu was left unbeaten on eight, along with his captain who scored an unbeaten eight to see his team complete a comprehensive victory.
