Rashid spurs Guyana to 3rd straight win in FIBA AmeriCup Pre-qualifiers

Umar Rashid delivered another dominant display as Guyana edged Bermuda 59-56 on Saturday evening at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall to register their third straight victory in the FIBA AmeriCup Caribbean Men’s Pre-Qualifiers.
Rashid continued his impressive tournament form by pouring in 20 points to lead the Guyanese attack, while Kevin Mickle chipped in with 15 points to help seal the narrow victory.

Bermuda fought until the final buzzer, with Malachi Scott scoring 16 points and Leigh-Jaelen Williams contributing 10.
Although Guyana have completed the tournament with three consecutive wins, qualification for the FIBA AmeriCup is still dependent on other results. The Golden Arrowhead side now need Turks and Caicos Islands to lose, with the final qualification spot also hinging on points differential.
