Glasgow was the standout performer in a dominant display by Chase, scoring three goals in each half, while Germaine Garrette added the other to complete the comfortable victory.
Chase wasted little time in asserting their authority, taking the lead through Garrette in the opening minute before Glasgow doubled the advantage in the 10th minute. The prolific forward struck again eight minutes later and completed his first-half hat-trick in the 35th minute.
There was no respite for Annandale after the break, as Glasgow continued his impressive showing with goals in the 52nd, 55th and 56th minutes to complete his double hat-trick and seal an emphatic result for the defending champions.
Meanwhile, Three Mile Secondary and New Amsterdam Secondary played out an entertaining 3-3 draw, with the latter staging an impressive comeback after falling three goals behind.
Eric Stephen handed Three Mile an early advantage in the sixth minute before Carl Phortoman doubled their lead in the 16th. Stephen completed his brace four minutes later to give Three Mile a commanding 3-0 advantage.
However, New Amsterdam refused to surrender and began their recovery through Eon Williams in the 29th minute. Jaffarrie Albert reduced the deficit further in the 40th minute before Clevon Cort completed the comeback with the equaliser in the 55th.
Three Mile’s Phortoman and Akeem Dasilva were cautioned in the 36th and 38th minutes, respectively.
In another closely contested encounter, Charlestown Secondary secured a narrow 1-0 victory over St Joseph High, courtesy of a late strike from Nyckel Adams.
With both teams struggling to find the breakthrough, Adams eventually settled the contest in the 68th minute to hand Charlestown all three points.
St Joseph’s Samesh Starke received a yellow card in the 20th minute, while Charlestown’s Ravan Britton was cautioned in the 50th.
The day’s other encounter saw Santa Rosa Secondary and West Ruimveldt Secondary share the points following a 1-1 draw.
West Ruimveldt took the lead through Dominic Lesperance in the 20th minute, but Santa Rosa responded 10 minutes later when Shane James found the back of the net to restore parity.
Neither team managed to break the deadlock thereafter, as the contest ended with a point apiece. Santa Rosa’s Lee Boyer received a yellow card in the 34th minute.
The league continues on Sundays across the next six weeks.
