Rice-laden ship sinks off Essequibo Coast

A rice-laden ship sank in the deep murky waters in the Atlantic Ocean just aback Walton Hall, Essequibo Coast.

Reports are the ship was destined for Venezuela. The vessel was reportedly packed at the Charity Wharf, in Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) on Friday and left just around midday. It is believed that the ship was overladen and might have capsized during high tide.
