Rose Hall Tigers hammer RHTY&SC

Rose Hall Tiger, Tain Block 4 and Skeldon Titans recorded wins this past weekend as the ongoing Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) Second Division 40 Overs tourney continued across venues in the Ancient County.
At the Port Mourant Community Center, the newly formed Rose Hall Tigers destroyed their rival Rose Hall Town Youth & Sports Club by 7 wickets. Electing to bat first, the latter managed 162 with Junior Sinclair top scoring 41 while national youth player Kevlon Anderson made 21 and Keith Simpson 19. Bowling for Rose Hall Tigers was led by Lloydel lewis who grabbed 3-18 as T. Jagdeo, and Steven Latcha claimed a wicket each. In reply, the Rose Hall Tigers reached their target in 34 overs with 7 wickets in hand compliments of Lewis who followed up his 3-fer with 44, supporting top-scorer Brentnol Woolford who made 53.

Kevlon Anderson

Over at the Vikings Ground on the Corentyne Coast, hosts # 77 were defeated by the Skeldon Titans in their match which was reduced to 35 overs. Batting first, Skeldon Titans were kept to 154 all out in 33 overs with Errol Byas ending on 47 not out and Christopher Jaundoo 24.

Lloydel Lewis

Bowling for # 77, A. Singh took 2-21, V. Narine 2-25, G. Ramnarine 2-23 and T. Ramdass 2-32 bowled well but their team was bowled sadly bowled out for 120 due to disciplined bowling from Jermaine Reid 3-33, Victor Pedro 2-28 and Byas 3-35 which handed their team a 34-run win.
Playing at home, Tain Block 4 defeated Kildonan by whopping 215 runs. After they amassed 362 runs after Madan Kumar Boodram smashed 129 with support coming from Ian Nunes 41, Daniel Balkarran 32, Mahendra Mangal 22 and Doodnauth Pataram 23.

Junior Sinclair

Clifford McKenzie managed to bowl well amongst the carnage, claiming 4-51 for Kildonan who was shot out for 147; courtesy of Daniel Balkarran who starred with figures of 7-48 from 7 overs.
