opening stages where the champs were forced to put their trust in the younger guns after their senior players were missing in action due to international duties.
The hard-hitting Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) player amassed 239 runs with a top-score of 51 while with the ball he snatched 19 wickets at an average of 20.36 with a best haul of 6-32; from the seven games he played.
For the ninth round clash at the Kensington Oval, the 19-year old replaces fast-bowler Keon Joseph who is said to be out with slight groin injury. Also, Akshaya Persaud who made his debut in the last round but failed to grab the opportunity could likely miss out at the expense of original opener Tagenarine Chanderpaul who has recovered from illness.
The Jaguars will look to extend their unbeaten run when they square off against the Barbados Pride from Thursday January 11 at the Mecca of cricket in the Caribbean before returning home next week to wrap up the tournament against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force at Providence. (Clifton Ross)
