Saints beat Snatchers on opening night

GSRFC/ Say Yes to Football, No to Drugs U-23 Tournaments
Guyana Rush Saints Football Club (GRSFC) kicked off their under-23 male and female football tournaments under the theme “Say Yes to Football, No to Drugs”, on Wednesday November 15, 2017 at the St Ignatius Village, Central Rupununi, Region 9.

The tournament has attracted five clubs; Kanuku Harpies FC, Gladiators FC, Snatchers FC, Tabatinga FC and Guyana Rush Saints FC.
On the opening night, football fans were treated to some trilling display of skills and pace as Guyana Rush FC and Gladiators FC females could not get the ball at the back of the nets. The match eventually ended in a battling draw giving both teams one point each.
In the male category, Guyana Rush Saints FC beat Snatchers FC 2-0. Saints FC held on to their lead and kept Snatchers FC out for the full 80 minutes to come out with the maximum three points.
The tournaments will continue tonight with one game when Tabatinga FC will get their first taste of the action when they come up against Gladiators FC males from 18:30h.
The finals will be played on December 9, 2017.
