Saints upset Camille’s Institute in the Q. Finals

Saints Stanislaus College Girls team will play in their first semifinal since 1993 as play continues in the Forbes Burnham Foundation Sponsored Inter Schools Overhand Windball Cricket Champions Trophy inside the National Gymnasium.

Last Sunday, Saints upset Camille’s Institute in their quarter finals. Batting first, Camille’s scored 107-4 off their allotted five overs with Alicea Davidson 80 (13x6s).

In reply, Stanislaus reached 108/0 off the last ball of their quota of overs to win by 10 wickets. Oumadavi Mando was 80 not out (10x6s).

In another quarter final, Cummings Lodge chalked up 115/0 playing against Diamond Secondary. Casey Charles led the way with an unbeaten 86 while Sarah Amin was at the other end on 20.

Diamond Secondary replied with 87-2, falling short by 28 runs with Malicia Fraser making 58 while Ruth Henry and Isasha Harry scored 12 each.

President’s College went down to Leonora Secondary by 10 wickets in their quarter final after making 117-1. Jeniffer Park 54 (9x6s) and Otefa Alfred 40.

Leonora Secondary openers stuck to the task and reached 119/0 with two balls to spare. Stacy Adams 63 not out (10x6s) and Stefan Ramnarine 42 not out.

Meanwhile, powerhouse Covent Garden Secondary continued their dominance and stormed into the seminal with an eight wicket win over Mae’s. Batting first Mae’s 117-1 with Africia Genttle posting an even 100 (16×6). The defending champions

Covent Garden Secondary replied with 121-0 with Makilla Maynard 64 made an undefeated while her opening partner; Shelini Ramcharan made 34. Semifinal action is set for the National Gymnasium on Sunday from 16:00h
