Sanjay’s Jewellery on Thursday teamed up with the Lusignan Golf Club (LGC) as they launched a Pre-Valentine’s Day Open set for Saturday February 10.
The move was sealed when Sanjay’s Jewellery owner Sanjay Persaud, handed over the sponsorship cheque to LGC President Aleem Hussain during the

sponsorship ceremony held at the jewellery store’s Sheriff Street location.
Persaud, who has been part of the fraternity for more than a decade, said he was happy to be back in full swing as part of the club’s current boom in weekly events. Persaud said he wants to give back to the golf community and as such decided to host a pre lover’s day tourney.
The jewellery store proprietor also hinted at his next move, a birthday tournament scheduled to tee off in October where a lucky winner will walk away with $100, 000 as a super prize.
Meanwhile, Hussain thanked the sponsors for their continued support in the development of golf. He said that it was good to see their sponsors whom they have been in good relations with for a large number of years, coming to the forefront of the sports new drive to expand.
Saturday’s tourney is set to be well-attended by the local golf fraternity while tee of time is set for 12:30h.
