The search has commenced for delegates to vie for the coveted title of Miss Linden 2018. The queen will be crowned on April 21, at the Mackenzie Sports Club Ground. The ladies who have an interest in competing for the title have to be between the ages of 17 and 25 and must be at least 5’ 6” tall.
The applicants must have good moral character and possess charm, poise, and personality and have beauty of face and figure.
In addition, the applicants must have the ability to show compassion and intelligence and speak intelligently in public places as well as have a good command of the English language.
The applicant must be someone with an unblemished background who is not likely to bring into disrepute/negative controversy the Miss Linden 2018 or the Miss Linden title.
Closing date for applications is Monday, February 12. These must be submitted to the Linden Town Week Secretariat, Lot 37 Republic Avenue, Mackenzie, Linden.
Once shortlisted and approved, the delegates will be trained to compete in the various segments on pageant night which includes intelligence, swimwear, talent, evening gown and recycled wear.
The reigning Miss Linden is Keisha Fraser who was crowned in 2015.
